Doctoral program applicants have to pass one admission exam on a profile subject. The exam is conducted in writing.
Taking into account the specifics of doctoral programs – a combination of educational and scientific activities, the examination tickets include a question on the justification of the proposed research (research proposal). The exam ticket contains three questions, two of which are aimed at determining the actual level of knowledge in the chosen field of study, and one question is aimed at identifying research skills and readiness of the candidate to conduct scientific research. The content of this question includes the following:
- research topic and relevance of the issue raised in the research;
- level of knowledge of the issue (with justification based on a review of the scientific literature);
- the purpose of the research and theoretical base;
- research methodology;
- substantiation of the feasibility of the study with an indication of the calendar plan and potential scientific supervisors.
