Narxoz International Staff Week 2026 brings together academic and administrative professionals from around the world to share expertise, best practices, and innovative ideas across diverse fields — including education, IT, sustainability, economics, business, environmental studies, law and policy, political science, internationalization.

The theme reflects our commitment to building stronger international partnerships in higher education, fostering global dialogue, and advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.

  • Ethno Village Nomad
    It is a unique historical and ethnographic complex, based on the centuries–old traditions, culture and way of life of the nomadic tribes of the Great Steppe - the Saks, Usuns, Kangyoos, Turks, Kazakhs and many others.
  • Charyn Canyon
    It is located about 200 km (120 mi) east of Almaty, close to the Kazakh–Chinese border. The canyon is roughly 154 km (96 mi) in length. It is part of the Charyn National Park.
  • City Tour
    We will take you through the city where history, culture, and everyday life come together. We’ll go through lively streets and see famous landmarks.
  • Panfilov street
    Panfilov Street in Almaty is perfect for a slow, relaxed walk. You can browse little shops, listen to street musicians, or grab an ice cream while watching people go by. Stop at one of the cozy cafes for coffee or tea, then wander over to see the colorful Zenkov Cathedral in the nearby park.
  • Kok-Tobe Hill
    Take the cable car up and watch Almaty spread out below you, with the mountains rising behind. At the top, you can wander between cafes, snap a photo with the Beatles statue, or just find a quiet bench to enjoy the fresh air.
  • Almaty Museum of Arts
    A calm and creative space showcasing over 700 works by Kazakhstani artists, from modern pieces to art from Central Asia and beyond. Walk through the galleries, join a workshop, or simply enjoy the inspiring atmosphere.
  • Botanical Garden
    A botanical garden featuring a wide variety of plants, including rare and exotic species. It has greenhouses with unique collections and offers seasonal displays of flowers, especially vibrant in spring and summer.

Participation is free of charge for staff and faculty from institutions that have an active partnership agreement with Narxoz University.
Non-Partner Universities
A participation fee of 100 EUR applies.
