A student meeting with Doctor of Sciences in History, author the book “The History of Kazakhstan”, professor Kan Georgy Vasilyevich

On October 28, 2021, the Higher Humanitarian School of Narxoz University and the Scientific Information Center - Scientific Library jointly invited our first-year students to the meeting with Doctor of Sciences in History, Professor of History at Narxoz University, Kan Georgy Vasilyevich. It was the interesting and informative meeting. The professor spoke about his research in history, results of the overseas scientific trips. He noted that foreign experts are interested in the history of Kazakhstan. He also noticed that such achievements and positive changes in the field of education are associated with independence, and called on young people to get a quality education and become the best in their profession. Students asked questions and received answers. The meeting with Kan Georgy Vasilyevich was a special event for the students. And we hope that soon the professor's new textbooks will take place in our library.

Kan Georgy Vasilyevich has authored around 300 scientific works and also textbooks and curriculum materials, including more than 20 monographs published in the USA, Europe, China, Korea, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other countries, including the monograph «Model of interethnic consent of the First President Kazakhstan» (Astana, 2010), «History of the Great Steppe» (Astana, 2015). He has also participated in international conferences in Hanoi (Vietnam) and Seoul (Republic of Korea). He was a visiting lecturer at Jawaharlal Nehru University (Delhi, India) and the University of Burgos (Spain).
