On March 29, 2024, the Director of the Gender Economics Research Center Narxoz University, Maigul Nugmanova delivered recommendations during the Kazakhstan's Government meeting regarding the advancement of gender budgeting, in the framework of the discussion on the draft Budget Code and associated bills concerning budget legislation. Amendments to the bill on budget legislation were prepared by Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan. The Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan and interested government agencies are preparing a Government opinion on these amendments.
