Narxoz University lecturer and professor of the «Ecology» educational program, Elmira Boribay, is currently undergoing a scientific internship as part of her research activities under the «500 Scientists» program at the partner university in Turkey – Kastamonu University.
During the internship, a meeting was held with the rector of Kastamonu University, Ahmed Hamdi Topal, and Dr. Kutay Oktay. The rector of the Turkish university emphasized the necessity of strengthening cooperation with Kazakhstan in the field of higher education and developing academic ties between partner universities.
Kastamonu University is ready to welcome students from the «Ecology» and «Environment and Sustainable Development» educational programs, as well as lecturers, within the framework of academic mobility, exchanges, and for conducting joint research projects. Narxoz lecturers will also conduct a seminar with the participation of foreign scientists on the topic of preserving specially protected natural areas and developing ecotourism.
In April 2025, representatives of Kastamonu University will make a return visit as part of the cooperation agreement and the Erasmus+ project.
