The co-organizers of the competition are the NGO "Shaikenov Participants Association" with the Street Law Kazakhstan project. The partner of the competition was the Eurasian Center for Economic and Legal Studies of NARXOZ University.
This year, 1,475 video works and 5,000 participants from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia took part in the competition. The competition was held among schoolchildren and students. There were 76 works from Kazakhstan. Our parcels with prizes are already flying and going to 42 winners from Kazakhstan.
Deputy Director Olena Bondarenko was a member of the jury of this competition and highly appreciated the work of the participants: "The video works presented by the participants of the competition indicate that the topic of human rights is relevant for young people in Kazakhstan. I hope that initiatives such as this competition will develop, and there will be more and more space for human rights in the education system within the framework of subjects, classroom hours and interaction between teachers and students."
At the award ceremony, which took place on January 5, 2021, a congratulatory speech was delivered by Senior Project Coordinator of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation, Rosa Makashevna Edigeyeva, Commissioner for Human Rights Elvira Abilkhasimovna Asimova, National Coordinator of the UNODC program in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Saule Iskabekova, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the NGO "Shaikenova Students Association" Lidiya Alekseyevna Shaikenova, coordinator for volunteer programs, UNICEF Svetlana Baran, Executive Director of the Public Institute "SDG Kazakhstan 2030" Lyazyat Kazhetayevna Askarova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Eurasian Technological University, Elmira Kaysarbayevna Idrisova, Deputy Director of the Eurasian Center for Economic and Legal Studies of NARXOZ University, Olena Bondarenko, and co-coordinators of the Street Law Kazakhstan project, national coaches Khalida Kanatbekovna Azhigulova and Gulshat Omirserikovna Takisheva. The guest of the event was Raisa Petrovna Sher, Adviser to the Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
