Visit of the European Parliament Delegation to Narxoz: Strengthening International Cooperation
On November 2, 2024, representatives of the European Parliament visited Narxoz University as part of an official delegation visit to Kazakhstan. The main topic of the meeting was the integration and development of international cultural and educational cooperation between the European Union and Kazakhstan.
The European delegation included Members of the European Parliament Giusy Princi, Sven Simon, Thierry Mariani, Tomasz Zdechovsky, Tomasz Frohlich, Virginie Joron, Jussi Saramo, Katarina Roth Nevedalova, Head of the Asia, Australia, and New Zealand Department of the European Parliament's Directorate-General for External Relations Nicolo Rinaldi, as well as political advisors of European political groups Anna Kaczmarek, Sahar Nasiri, Tamara Volokhova, and Krzysztof Jakub Strusz.
On the Kazakh side, the delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belgium, Head of the RK's Mission to the EU and NATO Margulan Baimukhan, and Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the RK Nurgul Tau.
The visit of the European Parliament delegation to Narxoz was an important step in strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union, contributing to the development of international educational and scientific exchange.
Representing Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region on the international educational stage, Narxoz University enhances the level of its educational programs through the internationalization of its activities, including attracting foreign professors and students, expanding dual degree programs and academic mobility, as well as faculty internships abroad.
The European Parliament delegation expressed confidence that such meetings elevate the relations between the parties to a new level and create favorable conditions for socio-economic development and international cooperation.
