Mr. Miras Daulenov, the President of Narxoz University, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Mr. Christopher Campbell-Holt, the Registrar and Chief Executive of the AIFC Court and IAC.
The parties agreed to involve the AIFC Court and IAC in the activities of the University Employers’ Council. The Court will act as an independent advisor in the development of proposals and expert assessment of educational programs at Narxoz University. In turn, Mr. Christopher Campbell-Holt told the University students and teachers about the activities of the AIFC Court and IAC. The parties also agreed upon the participation of Narxoz students in the AIFC Court and IAC Moot.
Narxoz trains lawyers to work in the private and public sectors of the economy. The University will incorporate elements of common law into its curricula. In the rating of Atameken NEC, the Narxoz Law Program ranks 5 th among 62 universities.
As Mr. Daulenov emphasized: “Our University has a good tradition of student participation in Moot Court. We intend to keep following this tradition with the assistance of the AIFC Court. The quality content focused on practical studies and application of the law, the best teachers, Moot Court, internships with clear learning outcomes – all these are essential to train good lawyers. We have agreed to work together to train lawyers for potential employment at the AIFC Court and IAC, promote the University graduates to work for the AIFC resident companies. I also invited Mr. Campbell-Holt, AIFC judges and arbitrators to deliver lectures at Narxoz.”
