On February 26, 2025, Narxoz University hosted the annual meeting of the Educational and Methodological Association of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan. This event focused on the internationalization of educational programs and mechanisms for ensuring education quality.

The Republican Educational and Methodological Council is a consultative body within Kazakhstan's higher and postgraduate education system. Based at Narxoz University, the Educational and Methodological Association operates in the field of "Business and Management," covering finance, banking and insurance, economics, marketing and advertising, evaluation, and labor skills.

The meeting brought together representatives from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, universities, and postgraduate education institutions that train professionals in this field, as well as representatives of employers, associations, international organizations, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
During the plenary session, the Chairman of the Educational and Methodological Association, who is also the President of Narxoz University, Kanat Kozhakhmet, emphasized the importance of this topic within the context of university development and the overall strategy for advancing Kazakhstan's science and higher education sector.

Aigerim Raimzhanova, Vice President for Development and International Affairs at Narxoz University, highlighted the role of internationalization in enhancing the competitiveness of educational programs.

Narxoz University Provost Erlan Shulanov shared insights on partnerships with foreign universities, discussing the benefits of such collaborations as well as the challenges universities may face.

Dilbar Gimranova, Director of the School of Economics and Management, elaborated on the process of developing and implementing dual-degree programs.

Narxoz University offers dual-degree programs in collaboration with leading European and American universities, including Queen’s University Belfast (a member of the Russell Group), Penn State University, Mykolas Romeris University, Hof University of Applied Science, La Rochelle, and the Technical University of Ostrava. The details of a new program with the Illinois Institute of Technology are currently being finalized.

Following the plenary session, participants engaged in sectional meetings on "Business and Management," discussing topics such as ensuring education quality within the framework of internationalization, collaboration with the Coursera platform, experiences in implementing joint educational programs with foreign universities, the role of international academic mobility, and more.
