On March 14, Narxoz Global and Jarqyn co-hosted a summit titled “Jarqyn Talks: The Future of Women.”
It was a fantastic event, bringing together over 50 students to address issues related to gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the advancement of women’s rights in Kazakhstan and beyond. The day included a keynote speech, panel discussion, and self-defense course.
We were grateful to have five accomplished and inspirational women in attendance:
Sholpan Aitenova, Chief Executive Officer of Zertteu Research Institute;
Aisana Ashim, the founder of The Village Kazakhstan, Masa Media, and Batyr Jamal;
Dinara Zhaxynbek, co-founder of ESD Central Asia;
Ainel Amirkhan, creator of a podcast titled “OY-DETOX”;
Zulfiya Urunova, co-founder of Take Care Mom.
They shared perceptive insights, shared personal experiences, and captured the tremendous importance of gender equality as a tool for achieving sustainable development. It was a thought-provoking event that prompted reflection, collaboration between students, and unity. We look forward to hosting similar summits in the future.
