EMBA Graduation 2024: Key Moments of the Ceremony

On December 13, 2024, a solemn diploma award ceremony was held at Narxoz University for the graduates of the Executive MBA programs at Narxoz Business School: Executive MBA in General Management, the corporate Executive MBA program "Strategic Management and Business Development," MBA in General Management, and Executive MBA for NGO leaders. Graduates from all three programs received their long-awaited diplomas, and next week a diploma ceremony will be held for the corporate group in Astana.

At Narxoz, we fulfill our mission in this regard, — said Bulat Mukushev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Narxoz University. — The most important thing is that you have joined a wonderful family — the family of Narxoz University graduates. This year, special attention was given to the graduation of the first cohort of the Executive MBA program for NGO leaders. This forward-thinking program combines business and NGOs, helping to create a sustainable future and harmonious societal development. The program is unique for Kazakhstan and the CIS, as it prepares future leaders and executives in the field of social projects. Graduates receive a full EMBA degree in social initiatives, offering a systematic, comprehensive, and foundational education with an internationally recognized diploma. The partner and initiator of this program is DOS.Community, particularly its founder Gulnar Dosaeva, who attended the ceremony.
"NGOs have come to the forefront now, and this graduation is truly important and timely. We are very pleased that Narxoz became our partner in such an important and vital project for the country," said Gulnar Dosaeva, founder of DOS.Community. — We know how much needs to be done in this field. What started as a small initiative by one foundation has now gained scale. People are starting to understand what effective charity and public activity are. Marina Obraztsova, Director of Narxoz Business School, shared the school’s achievements and plans for 2025: "Currently, around 200 people are studying in Executive MBA programs. This year, we are launching the updated DBA program. In February, we will start a group in Astana, followed by Shymkent and Aktau. In 2025, we will launch MBA programs in Kazakh and English, as well as 12 short-term programs for top management. As part of the university’s transformation, the reconstruction of the business school building has begun, with the opening scheduled for August 2025."
It is worth noting that according to the QS Global MBA 2025 rankings, Narxoz Business School's MBA program entered the top 50 in Asia for the first time. This significant achievement confirms the high level of education and professional training offered by the university.
In its 16 years of existence, Narxoz Business School has trained more than 2,500 corporate clients and graduated over 3,500 MBA, EMBA, and DBA holders. Today, the business school offers programs for financial institutions, the non-profit sector, corporate organizations, as well as open programs that include professional development courses and online courses.
Also, as part of the Graduation ceremony, a new kind tradition was introduced. Graduates attached their names to the symbolic tree of wisdom — a chestnut tree — and forever inscribed them in Narxoz’s history.
