NARXOZ and HARVARD?

Invitation: 22/06/21 Digital Silk Road| SKRI (Narxoz) ; Davis Center (Harvard)

The Sustainable Kazakhstan Research Institute at Narxoz University would like to kindly invite you to the official launch of an academic report “Digital Silk Road in Central Asia: Present and Future.” The launch will take place on June 22,   19:30-21:00 (Nur-Sultan time). The report is a result of a joint project carried out by the Sustainable Kazakhstan Research Institute (Narxoz University), Harvard University’s Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, and sponsored by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Academic Foundation (Kazakhstan).

The speakers include authors of the report: Brendan Duprey, Director of the Sustainable Kazakhstan Research Institute at Narxoz University; Nargis Kassenova, Senior Fellow, Program on Central Asia, Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University; Akmal Akramkhanov,  Regional Manager for Central Asia and the Caucasus, ICARDA, among others.
They will discuss the processes of digitalization and growing digital connectivity in Central Asia, and the role that China and Chinese information communication technology (ICT) companies play.

This will be the English launch of the report. The Kazakh and Russian language versions will be launched separately in September following translation.
