Dual Program at Marriott Hotel: the Higher School of Arts and Social Sciences Expands Opportunities for Students

Students from the Higher School of Arts and Social Sciences of Narxoz University can study, undergo internships and gain practical experience at world-class hotels through the dual program.

This year, the dual program has gained a new partner from the hospitality industry. Students have the chance to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge at one of the largest hotel chains in the world – Marriott International, at the Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites. The program is designed to meet the needs and interests of students who are interested in managing international hotels. It allows them to learn the principles of hospitality through various courses as well as through hands-on practice.

Upon completing the program, students will:

• understand the basic standards in hotel service management, including Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, Kitchen, and more;
• demonstrate skills in organizing guest services in areas such as food service, room cleaning, guest check-in and check-out, and providing additional services;
• plan, organize, and conduct events for hotel clients;
• maintain the hotel’s image in the community;
• analyze the organization of hotel services and offer recommendations for its development.

The dual program at the Higher School of Arts and Social Sciences of Narxoz University is also implemented in partnership with The Ritz-Carlton, Astana, The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty, Rixos Borovoe, Global Air, and Air Astana.
