From 06.06.2021 to 12.06.2021 students of EP "Ecology" Sagentaev Erbol and Menayakova Zhuldyz (scientific supervisor Gumarova T.A.) participated in a demonstration tour organized by the Executive Directorate of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea in Kazakhstan (ID IFAS RK) for students and undergraduates of universities water specialty and ecology at water facilities in South Kazakhstan (Balkhash-Alakol, Shu-Talass and Aral-Syrdarya basins), within the framework of the OSCE Program Office Project in Nur-Sultan, in order to improve the practical knowledge and skills of future specialists in water management and ecology.
The expedition was attended by students of KazNAU (Almaty), Korkyt-Ata University (Kyzylorda), Ushkonyr College of Water Resources, South Kazakhstan University (Shymkent) and Narxoz University (Almaty)
The members of the expedition visited the Turkestan and Kyzylorda regions (Bugunskoye and
Shardara reservoirs, Koksaray counter-regulator), the Kyzylorda hydroelectric complex, the
Baikadam hydroelectric complex, the experimental fields of the KazNII Rice Growing named after Ibrai Zhakhaev.
06/12/2021 in Kyzylorda, a final seminar was held, at which students made a presentation of their Expedition Reports and received certificates. The members of the expedition noted in their speeches that it was an unforgettable tour and they learned in a week what they could not learn from textbooks and the Internet.
