About the Master's program

  • The educational program strives to attain the fundamental study of the processes of sustainable tourism. Sustainable tourism is a type of tourism that meets the needs of society, preserves what has been achieved and increases the opportunities for future growth.

    The program is attractive because the focus is on Tourism, as one of the few sectors of the economy, which, despite crises, political situations, constant changes in certain development vectors, maintains a surprisingly proportional growth in development.

    The program harmoniously combines theory with practice, focuses on the management and business aspects of the tourism industry, uses modern marketing tools and covers a variety of topics: from finance and marketing to tourism business / tourism community management, including the luxury segment.

Our teachers cover the key competencies for your needs on deeply understanding the structure of the industry, they will teach you to think creatively and make non-standard management decisions. Undergraduates will be able to analyze the impact of tourism on the economic, socio-cultural environment and develop strategies focused on the sustainable development of the tourism industry and quality service for the consumer!

Upon graduation, you will be able to:
  • Conduct research and analysis of the tourism market, as well as business processes at the tourism and hospitality enterprises, or transfer your knowledge while working at a university / college;
  • To plan and develop a demanded complex tourist product, to form a tourist package;
  • Manage service operations in a travel agency / hotel, drawing up an algorithm for serving clients with a variety of preferences with a focus on high service;
  • Open your own enterprise / business, develop its strategy and consistently achieve the implementation of goals and objectives;
  • Manage the personnel of your enterprise, based on the latest approaches and technologies, forming a corporate culture aimed at forming a cohesive team.
Upon completion of degree, you will be able to work:
  • In the field of tourism management, as well as hospitality: government authorities, tourism business, restaurant and hotel segment of the market;

  • Language of instruction: English, Kazakh, Russian;
  • Format of training: Evening + full day of Saturday;
  • Duration of training: 2 years (scientific and pedagogical direction);
  • Possibility of admission to PhD.
