    Alexander has a vast experience of developing and delivering offline and interactive online courses on Finance and Corporate Governance topics. In addition to this, he was designing and realizing leadership development programs for high potentials of major Russian and international companies in the Academy of Association of Independent Directors, SKOLKOVO School of Management and in Moscow State University. He is also an Alumni of London Business School and attended various courses at INSEAD and IMD.

    Industrial experiance

    Practical focus of Alexander’s courses is derived from his enormous business experience: more than 20 years on leadership positions in one of Big Four companies and more than 10 years of serving on Boards of biggest Russian and international companies. Over the recent years, as a Senior Advisor of Korn Ferry (CIS) with experience in market listing requirements of London, US and Moscow exchanges, Alexander advised public and private companies on improving governance structures, clarifying the value in their public reporting and refining risk management processes, best fitting their state of maturity and countries of operations.


    Academic background

    In 2012-2016 Alexander worked as an Adjunct Professor and program director of the Executive Education department of SKOLKOVO School of Management designing and delivering leadership development and corporate governance programmes for major Russian, French and Chinese companies.

    At the beginning of his career Alexander worked as a Professor Assistant at the Accounting Department in Leningrad Soviet Trade Institute and Leningrad International Management Institute (a Business School, a JV of the Leningrad State University with the Bocconi University).

    Alexander is the author of the English-Russian Accounting Dictionary (published by “Finance & Statistics” in 1995-2001) and various publications on Corporate Governance best practices. He also translated into Russian ‘Principles of Accounting’ manual of Needles, Anderson, Caldwell (published by “Finance & Statistics” in 1993-2003). Alexander is the editor of translation into Russian of the Glossary and key terms of an Institute of Directors handbook ‘Finance for non-Finance Directors’ (2019) and of a book ‘The Board Member’s Guide to Risk’ (published by “Delibri” in 2021).

    Alexander is known as а team player and mentor, who brings professionalism with great honesty and integrity.

    Marek Jochec is an Associate Professor of Finance at Narxoz University and Academic Director of the Narxoz Business School. Prior to Narxoz he spent nine years at Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Business and three years at KIMEP. Marek holds a PhD degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign, an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School and an MA in Economics from the Central European University. Marek's article “Patriotic Name Bias and Stock Returns” published in the Journal of Financial Markets was cited by Robert Schiller in his Nobel Prize Acceptance Lecture. Marek also published peer-reviewed academic articles on market microstructure and asset management. Marek has taught undergraduate and graduate students, businesspeople, and corporations on four continents. Marek contributed and was mentioned in global textbooks Brealey/ Meyers / Allen: Principles of Corporate Finance and Benninga: Financial Modeling. Marek is also interested in Entrepreneurship and Education for Entrepreneurship; he was twice invited speaker on Atameken Business Channel and a reviewer of the nationwide textbook on Entrepreneurship for 10th and 11th grade in Qazaqstan. Marek regularly writes on economic topics in Qazaqstani media, such as Kapital and National Business. Marek speaks fluent Russian and is an advanced user of Excel and VBA. In his free time he loves to travel and explore Qazaqstan with his family.
