    Author of over 100 publications, including 2 monographs and 4 textbooks. In 2010, he was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Rector of the Academy of Economics and Law "Lecturer of the Year". In 2013, he was awarded the V. I. Vernadsky Silver Medal "For Outstanding Achievements in the Field of Natural Sciences and Humanities" (Russia, RAE). In 2013 he was awarded the badge of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "For services in the development of science in the Republic of Kazakhstan." In 2015, he was awarded the medal of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan "For contribution to the development of justice bodies"

  • OLENA BONDARENKO
    DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR DEVELOPMENT AND PARTNERSHIPS
    MA IN HUMAN RIGHTS, SENIOR LECTURER OF THE PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT
    As an academic and practitioner, she has worked on a variety of human rights issues with particular focus on equality and discrimination. She has done research and advocacy work in the areas of combating discrimination and hate crime, policing methods and migration policies, public administration and education.

    She has developed and published guidelines and training programs on human rights, ESD, and equality for educators, national authorities, local government representatives and communities. She holds an MA in Human Rights from the Central European University.

    Areas of interest: Human Rights, Equality and Non-Discrimination, Education for Sustainable Development, Human Rights Education, International Humanitarian Law.

    PhD Thesis: Responsibility for Criminal Negligence in the Republic of Kazakhstan

    Co-author of six textbooks and commentary on criminal law. Repeated participant of Salzburg medical seminars on the topics "Law and Health" and "Human Rights in Patient Care". Editor-in-chief and compiler of the practical guide "Human rights in healthcare".

    As an expert, she has participated in various conferences, round tables and projects of public organizations on the rights of patients, the right to health of migrants, sexual violence, etc.

    Member of the Chamber of Legal Advisers "Chamber of Professional Legal Advisers".

    Courses taught: Criminal Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Theoretical Problems of Criminal Law, Legal Regulation in Healthcare.
